With conflicts, climate change, and social divides now daily realities worldwide, every company must reconcile global business expansion with a more human-centered and sustainable approach. In light of this, we believe that a more innovative and profound shift is possible by reimagining business operations, the economy, and society through a human-centered lens. Building on this vision, we have launched a new company dedicated to creating a fresh perspective on business management, social systems, and the public sector, aiming to harmonize people, society, and the environment. We are collaborating with aspirational leaders in Japan and across Asia to bring this vision to life.
This strategic business is led by two co-founders: Tim Brown, a thought leader in the global design industry, and Masanobu Iwabuchi, a highly experienced expert in assisting business management at a global consultancy. We offer end-to-end support, providing advice on creative decision-making and integrated design services leveraging data and technology pertaining to sei-katsu-sha and creativity. The new company will also partner with kyu, a world-class creative service collective with over 2,000 staff, to provide highly specialized, actionable insights built on human-centered philosophy in the fields of design, behavioral economics, sociology and art.
The name of the new company “ENND” highlights values unique to Japan, represented by “en,” connoting spiritual transcendence, psychology and integrity in Zen Buddhism, together with “end,” expressing our determination to surpass traditional values and usher in a new era of humanity.
“The best way to predict the future is to invent it,” said Alan Kay, father of the personal computer. We firmly believe that this co-designing practice will help create humanity-driven business and leadership to bring sustainable prosperity to Japan and the rest of Asia.
