We strategically apply human-centered and design thinking to commit to business growth and solving social issues with a medium- to long-term perspective of 10 to 20 years. We evolve a customer-centric mindset from simply delivering products and services to creating innovations and solutions that address societal challenges. We design experiences and management processes that enable employees and executives to thrive as human beings, and we support the planning and large-scale execution needed to transform them.
Rather than limiting the power of “design” to product development, we apply it to envision journeys where executives, employees, and customers each contribute to the business through solving social issues. We harness design so that people can engage with purpose, drive mindset and behavioral change, and create a virtuous cycle within the company through learning and growth.
We also help executives and employees revisit the company’s history and philosophy, redefine its purpose in a way that employees can internalize and act upon, and implement measures and communication strategies that foster autonomy.
We view approaches focused solely on short-term efficiency through cost-cutting, superficial “human capital management,” or narrowly specialized consulting as relics of the past. We have entered an era where social issues are increasingly serious and employees will no longer be motivated by menial jobs.
Our aim is to be a long-term partner in achieving corporate transformation rooted in a deep understanding of human society, delivering concrete solutions to social challenges, and creating a world where employees find genuine meaning in their work. While this management philosophy echoes that of many Japanese companies in the postwar era, it must be updated for today’s complex world.
Looking ahead to the next generation, we seek to help create a uniquely Japanese management model that balances economic growth with social, cultural, and natural capital—and bring it to the global stage. We also believe there is great significance and potential in driving human-centered corporate transformation in ways that contribute to value creation across social systems and entire industries.
