Biases that we all have as human beings can become a stumbling block to business innovation. In this article, we find clues to remove this bias in the work of Alec Soth, one of America's leading photographers. Through the exhibition “A Room of Rooms,” held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, this article explores the possibility of art removing biases from the mind by looking into the depths of American society, politics, and culture, which many Japanese find difficult to see, through images of people living in the Rust Belt and other regions.
